Serious work goes on inside 'fun' bus

The 20-metre long privately run and Government funded mobile bus has been parked outside Southland Hospital for the last three days to treat 32 patients, predominantly for ear, nose and throat ailments.

Mark Eager, general manager of the mobile surgical bus, said the truck and trailer unit had been in operation for a decade.

It travels around New Zealand on five-week cycles, with its southern stops including Gore, Balclutha and Queenstown...
