Welcome to the Mobile Health Rural Nurses Meeting for 2017. The nurses' meeting is always extremely popular so we are again developing an informative, inspirational and enjoyable meeting programme specifically for rural nurses. The meeting will be held in Wellington from the 11th - 13th of May 2017. Please enroll NOW for the meeting as we will need to finalise our arrangements as soon as possible.

  • Main meeting delegates arrival at the Copthorne Oriental Bay Hotel on Thursday afternoon
  • Welcome Function (7pm) at Parliament for delegates that have arrived in Wellington

Course: Rural Emergency Nursing Care: Clinical Skills Interventions

This year the practical component of the GCRC710 Rural Emergency Nursing Care: Recognition, Assessment and Skills Management will be held prior to the nurses meeting on Wednesday 10th May and Thursday 11th of May. Please note this practical component is only part of the whole course which also involves 50 hours of online learning, 10 hours simulation and 40 hours of self-directed learning. The meeting will be held at the Westpac Stadium, with the dinner being held at Te Papa. We will have transport available for those who choose not to walk.


The meeting is provided at no charge to the first 70 registrations from MHS Rural Bus Nurses. This is inclusive of:

  • The Nurses Meeting
  • Accommodation Thursday and Friday nights (share twin)
  • Breakfast Friday and Saturday mornings
  • Parking if required at the hotel
  • Welcome Function on Thursday evening
  • Conference Dinner on Friday evening

You are required to meet the costs of:

  • Transport to and from Wellington
  • Airport transfers
  • Meals and incidental costs outside the meeting and functions.

Standard price for other registrations is $200 plus accommodation


You are required to make arrangement for your own travel to and from Wellington. We suggest you book your flights early to take advantage of the lowest possible fares. 


Overlooking one of the world's most beautiful harbours and offering four-star comfort, the Copthorne Oriental Bay hotel is the meeting's accommodation provider. Accommodation is provided at no charge to the first 70 registered Mobile Surgical bus Nurses on Thursday and Friday nights on a share twin basis. If you do not wish to share you can upgrade to a single room at the cost of $85 per night. Additional nights can be booked at the conference rate of $170 per night. Please register ASAP to confirm your attendance and to reserve your accommodation, including any specific requirements you might have. Please make all accommodation arrangements through Mobile Health.
